The lightly-raced and well-bred broodmare Miss Duffy is offered for sale.
Miss Duffy was a creditable fourth in a bumper at Newcastle on debut and later finished placed in a Wetherby novice hurdle. She is a half-sister to the 145-rated Tom George trained chaser No Duffer, whilst her dam Dolly Duff is a half-sister to the wonderful staying chaser Forest Gunner, who won the Foxhunters' and Grand Sefton over the National fences at Aintree, as well as the Grade-3 Grand National Trial at Haydock.
Miss Duffy is by Sir Harry Lewis, the sire of Grade-1 winners such as Unowhatimeanharry, Diamond Harry and Mighty Man, whilst he is the damsire of the Grade-2 winning chaser Caoimhe's Delight.
This sale is boosted significantly by the fact that Miss Duffy is offered in foal to the much-coveted stallion Blue Bresil. He was a classy dual-purpose horse, good enough to finish Grp-2 placed on the flat over a mile, but durable enough to place at the same level over hurdles. His profile was raised last season as his son Mick Jazz landed the Grade-1 Ryanair Hurdle and was also placed in the Grade-1 Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
Miss Duffy had a Gentlewave filly in 2016, a Pethers Moon colt in 2017 and a Black Sam Bellamy filly earlier this year, all of which can be seen on the farm at which she still resides.
With such choicely-bred youngsters set to represent her on track in the years to come, Miss Duffy's page will surely only increase in appeal as the years go by. As such, this is unquestionably the right moment to buy into a well-bred mare that has many breeding years ahead of her and is proving capable of throwing a very good-looking foal.
