The good-looking Acclamation mare Inauguration is offered for sale. She is in foal to the up and coming young sire Garswood and hails from a matriarchal line featuring many black-type performers.
The mare is being sold to dissolve a partnership and can be viewed by appointment at Catridge Farm Stud in Wiltshire.
She was a fair performer on the track, finishing fourth at Kempton on her second outing as a two-year-old and later on placing in handicaps at six to seven-furlongs. Her dam Carraigoona produced three winners, including the 89-rated Smiling Stranger, whilst she was a half-sister to the Grp-2 Prix Guillaume D'Ornano winner and Grp-1 placed Highdown and the Grp-2 King Edward VII Stakes runner-up Elshadi.
Inauguration's sire Acclamation is a fine stallion that is starting to impact the broodmare sire ranks. His daughters this year have already produced the Grp-3 Ballycorus Stakes heroine True Valour and the Grp-1 Commonwealth Cup hero Eqtidaar.
Inauguration has had one foal to date, a 2017 filly by Havana Gold, and has many exciting breeding years ahead of her. This deal is boosted significantly by the news that Inauguration has been scanned in foal to the 2014 Grp-1 July Cup winner Garswood. His first crop is racing this season, and there have been plenty of winners and no shortage of quality amongst them. His best performer so far is the Grp-3 Prix du Bois winner Little Kim, and there are plenty of lightly-raced improvers waiting in the wings ready to further his reputation in short order.
Inauguration is a young mare out of a leading stallion, offered in foal to an exciting freshman sire. There is little doubt that this is a bargain offer that will surely not last for long. Don't miss out!
