The Orientate mare Bengers Lass is offered for sale, in foal to Coach House.
Lightly-raced during her racing career, she has already produced the Italian winner Chassis, whilst her 2016 Coach House colt Spirit Of May was a debut second last year. That youngster realised £25,000 at the breeze-ups, having been just a 4,500gns foal - which is a clear indication of the scope and progressive quality that Bengers Lass is putting into her progeny.
Bengers Lass is a half-sister to the Listed winner Queen's Love, out of the Grp-2 (then) Falmouth Stakes third Wiedniu. The extended family features numerous other Stakes-winners including the US Grade-1 winner and successful broodmare Lotka, who can be found a few generations back.
Another positive element of the pedigree is the developing record of Orientate as a broodmare sire. Winner of the Grade-1 Breeders' Cup Sprint during a stellar racing career, he has produced over a dozen Group-race winners as a damsire, including this year's Grade-1 scorer Long On Value and Grade-1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Shanghai Bobby.
Perhaps the most eye-catching feature of this offer is the fact that Bengers Lass has been scanned in foal to the first-season sire Coach House. A Listed winner and Grp-2 placed during his brief racing career for Aidan O'Brien, he is out of the very speedy Grp-3 winning sprinter Lesson In Humility. This enticing pedigree has inevitably led to sales ring success, with his promising son Enough Already realising 125,000gns when selling at Tattersalls last year. He has made a good start with various multiple winners in 2018 and promises plenty as a stallion prospect.
At 13-years of age, Bengers Lass has many breeding years ahead of her, and she is carrying a full-sibling to a promising sort that has more to give in the new season. She must not be missed at the advertised price.
